Greeting Card Giveaway
Season’s Greetings
It’s The Wife here. I’ve been away too long, leaving The Donkey to blog uncut. This has resulted in some poor grammar, a few one-sided debates, and a recent post revealing more about me and my milk than anyone ever wanted to know.
I have been attempting to re-surface to the real world for quite some time since our baby’s traumatic birth and subsequent 3-month hospital stay. Just when the baby is home and doing well, and I think I have life under control, something else will happen–like The Donkey coming down with a Man Cold, or announcing that he is being “forced” to take a week-long business trip (vacation) soon, or asking me if I’ve finished getting everything ready for Christmas yet…
I’ve been so cooped up at home (the new baby can’t be out and about until Spring) that I could have easily missed the fact that the Holidays are even upon us. Thankfully, I am reminded daily by fun holiday movies, sappy jewelry commercials, and daily email requests for our home address so people can send out their holiday cards. I’m still working on my thank you cards for the baby, so I haven’t even thought about Christmas cards yet. Maybe I’ll get something out by Groundhog Day. Actually, that may be fitting this year, since that’s about how my life feels right now… Wake up, feed baby, go back to sleep, wake up to feed baby, wake kids up, feed kids, feed baby, put kids to naps, feed baby, get kids out of naps, tell kids not to kiss baby too much, feed baby, tell husband not to kiss baby too much, feed family, get kids to bed, feed baby, go to bed, wake up, try to get husband to wake up to feed baby, get up to feed baby…
So, yeah… I’m just not too sure how to fit Christmas cards in this year. What about you?

My wife takes charge of the yearly Christmas newsletter. I prefer to just email people. We didn’t manage include a family picture, though.
Mental note: when deciding if you are finished with Christmas stuff, don’t forget to buy presents for the baby. Although he/she may like the wrapping paper better than the gift, the baby needs equal share of the presents.

No Christmas cards from us yet. If it’s anything like last year our “Christmas cards” will be Valentine themed and arrive in February. My excuse this year is that we planned for traveling to two weddings in addition to traveling for Christmas. That’s just a little too much crazy-ness to thow in cards too.

No Christmas cards yet. I am too picky, cheap and lazy. Honest truth.

i did send some out this year, it was my first time. sometimes i wonder why i decided it was a good idea to breastfeed because now i’m in charge of feeding every body every meel everyday and man i get tired of it sometimes, but it’s all worth it right?

Having a 2 month old requires a bit more time with 3 other kids at home. Not nearly as much as your little one, though! We can get out of the house for a change of scenery, or could until the snow dumped this week. My cards are still on the edit phase on the computer. They will be Holiday cards this year!

Mine are in the mail! The hard part wasn’t getting the cards themselves ready — I have that down to a science — but doing the Christmas letter. Yes, I decided to write one last year, though I don’t every year. But I got it all done. I do love Christmas cards!

The last set just needs to be dropped off at the post office, because this year Mrs. Mustachio isn’t a week and a half away from giving birth and I’m not on crutches. Happy Holidays!

Mine are done, my husbands are not. It happens every year. I put a few aside that he needs to give me addresses for (work related mostly)and rarely do I see those addresses until about Dec. 24. I did drag my feet this year, still hoping to accomplish a “family picture” with all 9 children. Sadly I realize another year will pass without a full reunion. Oh well, there is always next year!

I decided to send out free e-cards and write Christmas blog posts instead of traditional snail mail cards. So to all who care… “Merry Christmas!”

Mine are addressed, and I’ve written most of the Christmas letter. My daughter got married this summer, and I plan to include a picture from the wedding. I’m waiting for my son to go through the photographer’s cd and put the pictures online. I haven’t even seen them yet. I love to get cards and letters and pictures, so I will wait this year until I can send all three. (I usually am much earlier!)

Haven’t sent out Christmas cards yet. We were just waiting on a picture… which now we’ll have to use an old one or a current (scary) one. This is due to a lot of things, mainly my face and the soreness of the rest of my body as well. I won’t leave all the details, but you can check out my blog if you want to see why.

Um no not sending cards this year, Well if I get one or two we will drop one in the mail back. The postage is too much and I would much rather spend the money on iced coffees or something else. My husband just dont care either way.

Getting the cards out this week. Only because I am taking a trip to my mother’s house. She can play with the baby while I throw address labels on cards. Are printed labels from an excel sheet tacky? Not in my book! Plus, I am handing out alot of cards instead of mailing them this year. Anything to save a few pennies. Baby formula is expensive! Merry Christmas!

Yes. My wife sent them out.
We sent out cards because my mother told our not financially well off extended family not to buy us anything this year.
Otherwise, we probably would have just sent gifts or nothing.

I just got mine in the mail TODAY! I had been putting it off…trying to find a moment to stuff the envelopes and put the labels on. Finally, I realized that “moment” was never going to come so I put my toddler to work peeling off the paper on the envelopes and helping stick on the labels (most of them got on straight). After about 5min she got bored and found something better to do! All was happy and now it’s done! yea!
