My previous two pregnancies I've been WAY off the charts as far as "recommended weight gain" and I just gave it up as hopeless. :) Of course this time I didn't gain anything in the first 14 weeks, and thought "hey, my body finally figured it out!" only to find that I'm making up for lost time in the 15th week! Congratulations on your pregnancy, and good for you for not gaining too much in the first few weeks! Underneath it all is the terror that you can trump whatever he has with "I'm pregnant, suck it up." I've used it and it works well. I have never gained in my first trimester, I'm kind of obsessed about it now. Oh well. I enjoy the story about Queen Victoria, I don't think I have heard that one before.
