Asking Your Spouse to Do a Favor During Pregnancy
Which is Worse?
Donkey: Sweet wife… will you pretty please do me a favor?
Wife: What is it?
Donkey: Caramel hot chocolate from the gas station on the corner? Please?
Wife: Oh c’mon… you were just out. Why didn’t you stop and get it then?
Donkey: (Puppy dog eyes) Please, wife.
Wife: Wait, I’m pregnant. I shouldn’t be requested to do errands.
Donkey: Yeah, well I have to deal with someone who’s pregnant. That’s definitely worse.
No hot chocolate was purchased this particular evening

That is hilarious. So funny, in fact, that I just linked to this post. Hopefully all my readers (you know, all three of them) will come enjoy it, too.

oh donkey, i just paid you a compliment the other day too. i remarked to the wife that it’s so nice how boys don’t mind running out to do errands, we just have to ask. now look what you’ve done.

Donkey, you go through three months of constant nausea and see if you still think you’re worse off.
If so, add four months of back aches and not being able to stand up once you’re down.
If you still think you got the raw deal, remember your poor wife can’t drink to take away the pain of coping with you.
She’s definitely worse off!

I think being pregnant must feel like a weak midget is trying to wrestle you to the ground all the time by hanging off the front of you.
This midget doesn’t have a lot of brute strength, but can wear a gal down over time. I think this is why the pregna-capped always have trouble moving and must deal with sore backs and whatnot.
I gotta say there are a lot of great things to fight over, but gas station hot chocolate isn’t one of them. I saw some girl get off her register at a Maverick (sans hand wash) just to get elbow deep in hot chocolate sludge that had spilled inside the machine. She just pulled out the bag and put a new one in. Handling money and other people’s credit cards made her hands germ-ridden, and all those delicious little bugs went right into the Donkey’s hot caramel surprise.

I must be the only one ready to agree that dealing with pregnancy symptoms is tough on both people. Donkey, you should point out why this is tough for both.

I’ve asked my pregnant wife to pick up some beer on the way home…is that bad?
By Tyler @ Building Camelot on Apr 13, 2008
Tyler, yes its bad. Some idiots will think that your wife is purchasing it for herself and will let her have it… like they did when I bought beer for my husband. I was about 7 months pregnant.

Next time he asks, get the hot chocolate but then DRINK IT right in front of him! That will teach him to mess with pregnancy hormones.

That sounds EXACTLY like something my boyfriend would say.
