It seems to me like he has caught a case of being a hot head, my husband waits on me hand and foot if I so much as hiccup.

I think everyone deserves to be babied when they're sick. I have no problem waiting on my hubby when he catches a man cold...I know he'll do the same for me

This sounds about right. And this video uncovers another very interesting fact. I think women usually get the cold first and then pass a much worse strain on to us after it has morphed.

There has actually been scientific research that shows that women can heal and get over illness while going about their daily routines, whereas men need more reast to recover.

There's no argument that my wife is tougher than I am. She can do what she does every day on little to no sleep because of our small children. Unlike her, I need more rest when I get sick, or I never get over it.

I just recently suffered through the flu with a temperature of 102 and didn't complain about it. I think I only called in sick from work once. I also just got a middle ear infection which I think was caused by some sort of bacterial infection in my throat. I complained a fair degree about a headache from the fever and the sore throat from the ear infection but I didn't go to the doctor, and I didn't make my wife wait on me hand and foot. I tend to just complain a lot when I'm ill, while I still do everything for myself simply because I'm still completely able.

I have known guys who get sick and turn into complete babies. I think they just get used to their mothers taking care of them when they're sick. Then, when they're married, they still want a mommy to take care of them. Unfortunately for the wives, they are the mommy now. So they don't get the same attention.

Perhaps if mothers would just tell their children "oh, get over it" and shove pills down their throats, they would get better faster and stop complaining as much when they do get sick.

Perhaps the reason why I don't turn into a complete baby when I'm sick has to do with the fact that both my parents worked long hours and I was forced to pretty much take care of myself.

Whenever I get sick my wife runs to the computer to google my symptoms and tries to figure out what I have and how bad it is to make sure I am not exaggerating my illness.
I recently had an ear infection and was in really bad shape. I looked over and saw her on the computer and asked if there was a chance the infection could spread to my brain and kill me. She responded with a no but it might leave you with permanent earing loss.

it seems to me that everytime i get a cold my wife just poo-poos it as a little cold, but when she is sick it's worse. i think anytime men complain about pain or discomfort women's first reactions are doubt and skepticism, i think it all stems from women being upset men don't experience child birth. call me sigmund i think i just uncovered the mystery

I'm almost afraid to comment just because I'm not sure I can do it without sounding bitter. I'd like to catch a man cold too. When's my day off? Who's going to rub my head and say "poor bunny"? Unless of course, he rubs my head, says "poor bunny" and then follows it up with "when's dinner?"
