No toothbrush sharing. Drinks and food okay. Double dip is fine too.

You exchange far more when you kiss (or hold hands) for that matter.

there's just something about seeing the slimy saliva on my food that skeevs me a little or watching fluid go back down the straw into my drink. and don't give me the kissing argument there's a difference. i will kiss my wife but wouldn't let her spit in my mouth even though i get plenty of it when we kiss.

We have 4 toothebrushes and three people in the household and still I use whatever color I feel like that day. I dont really use my daughters, but the 3 adult ones I just swap around depending on my mood. I don't mind sharing drinks with my husband, and I'm less picky about him and germs than I am about him trying to eat off my plate. That's just annoying to me, it's a bit of a pet peve because my brother used to do it all teh time, and it was like, hey i'm not done eating yet, or maybe I wanted to save that for later?

Anyways, we're pretty open about most things, and I tend to get less sick then him when he gets any illness anyway. Besides sharing means I do less dishes. If he had his way i'd be cleaning 6 glasses a day of half drunk drinks. It's just silly! at least this way he finishes them, and doesnt dirty a whole load for me to clean.

...hmm ...well, I guess that means you didn't notice that I had to borrow your toothbrush this morning at the hotel. I told you I forgot mine, and I figured you knew that meant I'd be using yours. [FYI: This is not a joke; this actually happened this morning. I'm just hoping The Donkey doesn't make check back on these comments.]

Uh... yeah...I share lots of disgusting bodily fluids with him all the time, so why not?
He does use my toothbrush on occasion... I'm over it. This, with the way we sweetly eat our kid's pre-chewed food when he shoves it into our mouth unawares...If any one of us gets a disease, we're all going down.

I don't mind the occasional double dipper or drink from the same drink. I don't like making it a habit, but ok once in a while. Definitely sharing a toothbrush is unacceptable and gross.

I know how Chris feels about this, but I think it's fine. By no means do I go out of my way to share things, but I don't mind. I know some people who are ALWAYS sharing stuff one of them gets and frankly I just think that's weird. But the ocassional drink share or double dip doesn't bother me at all.

Remember when the waiter at Chili's gave Chris and I each others drinks? We both took a sip and realized the error. I thought he was going to have an anuerism, but he did consent to switch drinks. Mind you we kept our own straws. I thought it was so funny.
