phillyz you misunderstand me. The idea is not to actually pull weeds as a chore, just to be “busy” pulling them. Anyone who worked in fast food learns the “art” of looking busy while doing nothing.

I like this one a lot.

I suggest though that the diaper discovery be made by your wife on her own. I also suggest you find a chore that takes you outside -- like pulling weeds. There are always weeds. She will look at the baby, smell the smell, see you outside at work, and make the change.

If she brings a stinky kid outdoors and tries to pawn it off on you while you are painstakingly pulling weeds, she is either heartless or wise to you.

I can see this backfiring like poker man said. would it be effective to volunteer to do one or the other, because my wife will almost always choose a diaper to garbage, which is ok by me
