If he truly feels she should be "dainty" then she should also be respected for the effor that goes in all areas to be refined. This goes with clothes. You can't argue for one you feel passionate for and then when teh ball is passed to the other court say it doesn't count.<br/><br/>For women, regardless of WHO its for, we like to look nice (and reflect how confident we wish we were on the inside), on the outside. I constantly remind my husband to brush his teeth, I help him with decisions on hair cuts and matching ties. In the same respect he does my clothes and shoe shopping, and he's really good at it, what would take me ages to pick out he can find because he knows looking good is important to me, and he can see me in 3-d and objectively.<br/><br/>When we're at home we both tend to not care about that same standard, but it's still important to us to care about our appearance, not for other peoples sake but for our own personal standards. Especially since if I take care of myself I have a better self-esteem. I think that's the real hitch behind why women do what they do.
