I agree that #1 is fine as long as the other person isn’t actually looking (which would be seriously creepy), but #2? No way, no how.

At first this really bothered me but now it’s no big deal, I mean he has to go and I have to take a shower… like the other person said, when there’s only one bathroom, there’s bound to be some overlap.

Well we have celebrated 50 years of Marriage this past June and I have never been comfortable with that at all. I think that is an individual choice.

When you have ONE bathroom and a family of 4, there will be times when there’s some overlap.I don’t think its wrong…but if you’re going to stink it up, the polite thing to do is say, “you might want to come back in a few minutes…”

I wouldn’t mind my wife hanging out to chat while I pinch one off, but she never seems to take me up on it. Her favorite time to talk is when I am trying to watch the game.

I think it depends on how the people in question feel about it. I don’t want my man to be in the bathroom while I’m using the toilet, period, so I make it a general rule that bathroom time is alone time; door locked, no exceptions. However, my man doesn’t seem to care. He wanders in whenever I leave the door open while I’m brushing my teeth or doing my hair to do his business. =)

Um this is a no brainer. Of course its ok. This is where major family decisions are made. I mean is there anything better than dropping the ‘kids’ off at school and at the same time having the wife, the 2 kids, and the dog all crammed into the small bathroom at the same time? I think not.
